Report - Otterton Village Spring Show 2025

The Otterton Village Spring Show 2025, held on of March 8th , was a great success. There were 240 entries and the display, despite the late spring, was wonderful. We had over 100 adult visitors plus children who enjoyed the colourful displays and enjoyed teas and cakes. The Show is a showcase for local amateurs and, whilst stressful for the exhibitors, was a great advertisement for Otterton. Thanks go to everyone who supported the Show, from visitors, competitors, the Committee and most importantly the helpers. It takes a lot of time and effort to erect the staging and to man the teas, entry and raffle.

I would like give special mention to the Garden Club’s Chairman and his wife who do not even live in the village. Without Eric’s encyclopaedic knowledge of how it all works and knows who to ask to be a judge there would be no show. Joan is the catering manager and organises the teas and raffle – thank you both.

Congratulations to Penny Kurowski who narrowly won the Short Cup for the most points in the Show.
